I shot a picture of the original World Trade Center towers through the window of the 9/11 Museum. Known as the twin towers, they collapsed after being struck by airplanes in the 9/11/2001 attacks.
I was planning to visit the 9/11 Museum. However, the line was long, and my available time was short. The museum would have to wait until a future visit.
Growing up in New York City, I remember the construction of the twin towers during the early 70s. At a summer job during college, I worked in lower Manhattan, and it took two weeks to realize I passed the towers every day. As a New Yorker, you didn’t look up at buildings — not wanting to appear like a tourist. From ground level, buildings look about the same.
