I have one last architecture post as part of my introduction to the Louvre Museum. In a decidedly obvious photo — since I already took pictures from the outside — what does it look like from inside the pyramid? I have three compositions to satisfy your curiosity.
The first image is at my widest, a 24mm equivalent, framing floor to ceiling — it gives you a good sense of the scale.
The following two pictures are at a 33.45mm and 53.7mm equivalent. I used my only lens, a Fujifilm 16-80mm zoom, framed three compositions, and shot from about the same location. I had no idea where the focal lengths would fall. The last picture surprised me, looking more telephoto than a standard 50mm.
I remembered years ago. There was some hokey belief there were mystical powers underneath a pyramid, such as food preservation, improved health, and other unexplained phenomena. Perhaps it’s true, but I felt no special forces here. However, I did create satisfying images.
