For my final Louvre museum post, street photography and the last statues.
My wife and I spent three hours at the museum — a drop in the bucket of the time required to see the never-ending complex. I left it up to her to guide us through. I was there as an observer and documented via photography. It appears that we hit the highlights, the most famous works, and got a sense of the Louvre’s scale.
It was still day one of our European trip, and jet lag and travel wore us down. I was powered by photography which is a never-ending source of energy for me. My wife, however, was ready to call it a day, even if the museum was open late that night. She did vow to return someday for a lengthy visit on some subsequent Paris visit.
