On day one of our Paris trip, my wife and I didn’t eat anywhere of consequence — just quick and convenient meals. This is day two, and though it wasn’t a gourmet meal, at least it was a Parisian Cafe adventure — our first.

We saw the Cafe d’Orsay across the street. A quick smartphone check indicated good enough ratings, and a cursory review of the neighborhood didn’t reveal any culinary gems. We walked across for lunch.

The morning rains cleared, and we sat outside side by side for a comfortable cafe meal, viewing the magnificent Musée d’Orsay building. Unlike the quick meals in the U.S., the Paris cafe offered an experience.
