I have one more picture from the Cafe d’Orsay. I couldn’t resist shooting a street photograph from my cafe vantage point. This couple sat across the sidewalk aisle to my right.
If you look at yesterday’s post, you’ll notice the cafe added extra seating beyond the sidewalk, forming two rows of seating outside. My wife and I were outside the restaurant while this couple sat on the wooden deck extension.
More than twenty-five years ago, before we had children, we considered going to Paris. We even did research and bought a guidebook. Then, life got in the way, and we never made the trip. We finally took that trip well into middle age. That young couple could have been us a quarter of a century ago.
We have no regrets waiting until now. Luckily, we are still healthy enough to travel unencumbered. Also, we benefit from more savings, so we stayed at better accommodations than we could have afforded in our twenties.
