We arrived at our next tourist destination. You can see it in the background but might not recognize it. However, you definitely will if you see the entire structure.
I did some street photography before I got into architecture. Looks can be deceiving, appearing near the destination and the surrounding crowd, but I’m across a wide street. A 114mm equivalent got me closer, plus I cropped in post.
I noticed this stylish woman shooting with her smartphone. What I really love is the expression of the boy looking at her. Notice also that he is holding hands with another woman, so the photographer appears to be a stranger.

This is a good example of the stories we make up from the limited information the camera captures in a scene.
It’s hard to say if the woman with the phone and the boy are related or not. Looking close, their eyes and nose may provide a family resemblance. Your guess is as good as mine, without a good view of the face belonging to the hand the boy is holding.
Another interesting thing is she is taking a photo with a phone, but she is listening to another device which is balanced on her other arm. This begs the question, does she walk about with two devices (a rented e-tour guide) or is she making a photo for someone else?

Love your perspective and analysis. Thanks.
Streets Photographs offer great opportunities to create stories around them.
