After grabbing our take-out dinner at Galeries Lafayette Food Hall, we hopped on the Metro for a quick ride back to the hotel. Getting off at Gare de Lyon, I noticed the neon glow of cafes near the train station.
The red neon and the mix of lights created a festive air around Terminus Cafe. The signage and design were mismatched enough to give that authentic been-in-business-for-a-while feel.
Eating at a cafe at night had its attraction. I was interested more in the experience than the food itself — that would have to wait. We had our take-out Chinese to sample in the comfort of the hotel room. Perhaps not as romantic, but preferable and more relaxing after a second day of extensive tourism.
