After dropping off my bags and taking pictures of my room at the Luxor, I was off on a Las Vegas photography exploration. Many hotel complexes are interconnected, especially if the same parent group owns them.
The Luxor is on the west side of the strip and is part of the giant MGM group. To the north is another MGM property called Excalibur, themed as a castle with knights in armor. I found an underground tunnel that connects the Luxor to the Excalibur.
I was on a moving walkway, and with a 1/4 second shutter speed, much of the image was one giant motion blur, the effect I was after. Look closely, however, and you might notice the walkway and the handrail are sharp. That’s because while the walkway was moving, I was standing still.
