Balenciaga, Caesars Palace – Las Vegas, Nevada

There was a giant shopping mall next to the casinos at Caesars Palace — of course, there are shopping malls all over the place in Las Vegas. This one looked higher-end than most.

I noticed this Balenciaga store not because I cared about the brand. Rather, it was the classical architectural proportion that attracted me. I’ve heard of this brand before, and I knew it had some expensive stuff, and I marveled, in a bad way, at the pricing on their website. I didn’t bother going inside — just a quick snap from the outside.

I have a minor first-world design quibble. Notice how you see Balenciaga twice on the facade. Is that necessary? Is it due to some arbitrary mall design standard? One should try to remove unnecessary clutter whenever possible.
