Weekday Streetscape – Zurich, Switzerland

I find pleasure and zen in a streetscape like this. I like how everyone is going about their business, unaware of being photographed. Couple that with handsome architecture precisely framed and distortion corrected, elevating the everyday into something more. It’s the kind of photograph I didn’t make in the past but enjoy today.

Weekday is a casual men’s and women’s clothing store selling jeans, T-shirts, and other casual wear. I looked it up. Assuming people in Switzerland get dressed up for work, a more aptly named casual clothing store would be Weekend. Maybe somebody already took that name.

Urban landscapes like this are a far cry from how I started. In 2009, I shot urban landscapes on a tripod to create super-wide-angle colorful HDRs. I’m not saying this picture is better; it is just different.
