The beauty of downtown historic cores is the fantastic architectural detailing, which I appreciated and documented as I explored the old town in Zurich.

I created maximum telephoto compression zooming to 120mm equivalent to capture these three lamps. Admittedly, they are somewhat lost within the surrounding architecture, but I tried to squeeze them between the two closest buildings. Still, I like the balance of the overall image.

If I lived in a place like this, I can imagine spending hours reveling in the details. Urban landscapes in Austin aren’t nearly as richly layered.
