I started my first observations of Zurich a week ago with the Limmat, a big river running through the city. Those four images in the post gave a good flavor of the architecture on the river.
I took a layered approach for today’s post with a defined foreground, mid-ground, and background. Notice the duck? Along with the dock, it’s the foreground element. The river and boat form the middle layer, and the cityscape with the double spires of the Grossmünster anchors the background.
The layers are well-balanced, I think. Along with the monochrome conversion, Zurich looks character-filled but somber on a rainy day.
