As my wife and I walked around the Old Town of Zurich, we happened upon a small neighborhood festival. We shared a beer and sausage as a snack, not to ruin our dinner. Several wooden booths supplied the food with a picnic area in the middle.

One much larger structure featured a surprisingly elaborate stage. A performance was starting while we experienced the heaviest rain. In total, we stayed around 30 minutes. The rain cut our stay short, but we didn’t have much time either, and I wanted to explore more of the city.

I don’t know German, but I assume konzert means concert, and I was right. I also looked up Lea Lu, who is a Swiss singer-songwriter. Here is her website. Check out her Videos section with folksy YouTube Music Videos sung in English.

I don’t remember if I stood in the same place to make these three photos. The first is at a 76mm equivalent, the second at 35mm, and the last at 28mm.

The lighting was sophisticated for such a small portable stage. It seemed better than many of the dive bars in Austin. This last image starkly shows the wet and quiet environment of the concert. I snapped these pictures as the concert started. Hopefully, more people showed up later.
