I mentioned that Zurich was a waypoint to our first real destination in Switzerland, though I did spend a few hours there to capture the old town. We took a late train to Chur, an hour and a half away from Zurich, for our first night in Switzerland.
Chur is a small city of about 30,000 and the oldest in Switzerland, with a history of over 5,000 years. This is the sleek local train we took, and I snapped a picture of it after we disembarked. Interestingly, the logo on the front differed from my other Swiss trains. It appears they have multiple different train companies.
The inside was even more sleek and modern. I like its cheerful interior, which is in stark contrast to the regional train we used from Basil to Zurich. This train to Chur looks more like a commuter and less comfortable than the long-distance regional train. However, I appreciate its design better.
