It was no surprise that almost everyone used their smartphones to capture the stunning Swiss views on the Glacier Express. I used a Fujifilm X-E3 and saw at least one other using a dedicated camera.
As I combed through my library, I pulled out a few photos that feature smartphone use. It’s another excuse to show the dramatic views of the surrounding countryside. I shot these past the halfway point, where the mountains became even more rugged and dramatic. We rode the train in late September when only the tallest mountains remained covered in snow. I’m unsure if an all-white winter view would be preferable to this varied landscape.
This is the last post from the Glacier Express before I switch to coverage from our next destination, the resort city of Zermatt, Switzerland.
