Less than half a block away, on a visible corner, stood another Uniqlo, a fast fashion store from Japan. I already visited one in Paris before my trip to Switzerland, picking up a knit cap. I had no plans for additional clothing but wanted a quick browse.
I don’t know if all Uniqlo stores have a red stock market-like animated ticker tape, but I’ve seen them in multiple stores. They are designed differently but also serve as a consistent unifying element. The other Paris Uniqlo displayed this on the rounded steps at the entrance.
This display with the angled view seems Times Square-esque, with giant angled ticker tapes with scrolling stock symbols. The ones in Uniqlo are less finance-oriented, only showing their store locations worldwide. This store also gets extra drama points for a mirror-like ceiling and floor. It’s pretty happening for a clothing store.
