Exiting the Uniqlo store, I was met with an enticing narrow alleyway and the start of my beloved Blue Hour. The blue sky looked especially picturesque, contrasting with the warm glow of urban lights.
These kinds of photos only excite a few urban aficionados, but I’m happy to make these pictures all day if I can. Unfortunately, it only lasts briefly, which may make it all the more special. Paris adds an extra level of excitement with its lovely detailed facades — details lacking in U.S. cities.
The glow of lights pulled us forward to the end of the block.
This alleyway is the same, just closer to the busy intersection. The first photo was at a 24mm equivalent, while the second is at 51mm. The slightly longer focal length allowed for some space compression, but at around 50mm, it’s what the eye sees.
