This colorful window art display at this C&A store mesmerized me and made a dramatic display during Blue Hour. This picture covers half the facade facing Rue de Rivoli. In retrospect, I should’ve done a better job documenting, shooting the other half, and even around the corner. You might have noticed this building in yesterday’s post about this busy shopping street.
Now I wonder if these art displays wrap the entire building. It would be a playful and eye-catching gesture that shows that a retailer, even a modestly priced one, can add value to the urban cityscape.
I vaguely heard of C&A, and as I suspected, they are a fast-fashion clothing retailer. Most of their 1,300 locations are in Europe, with 300 in Brazil. There are no C&A stores in the United States. Their website features low-cost casualwear that looks like many other fast-fashion outlets. I don’t know enough to know if there is anything distinguishing their clothing, but I do like the design of this store.
