I don’t remember why we picked this cafe for dinner, but it certainly looks lovely. If I had a preconceived image of a Paris cafe, this would be it — maybe that’s why we selected it.

It’s called Cafe Blanc off Rue Croix des Petits Champs, confirmed via Google Maps. The street view picture doesn’t look nearly as character-filled, but the glow of warm light at night can do wonders for an image.

Our cafe pick was only a few blocks away from yesterday’s architectural post and not very far from the Louvre. A city like Paris is so visually dense that a block of details can be worth an entire downtown’s worth in some U.S. cities.
