Street Art, Montmartre – Paris, France

The area near La Mere Catherine, one of the oldest restaurants in Paris, is surrounded by cafes and street art vendors. It’s a famous place in the shadow of the Sacre Coeur. We were starting to explore when our luck ran out.

The weather forecast looked dismal, as rain was predicted for every day during our Paris trip. Luckily, it was very wrong. We had sun and cloudy skies but not much rain until that afternoon in Montmartre. We retreated hastily as the art browsing stopped.

With few customers and the threat of soggy artwork, it made sense for the vendors to shut down. We didn’t get a torrential Texas rain, just enough to be annoying. We proceeded to walk the streets with at least my wife having the cover of an umbrella.
