I was casually shooting out the window of our regional train heading to the suburbs of Paris when this image caught my eye. It appears to be a park, but with straight paths that defied expectations. Was this normal for France?

There’s nothing special about this picture other than I like how the elements came together purely by accident. First, we have the “architectural” park, where a lone person is walking a path. Then, we have the long shadows cast by the trees and the rising morning sun.

Finally, we have flare and random spots that are undoubtedly created by a dirty window. They almost look like post-processing effects added for “character.” Nope. It’s just my plain, simple processing and multiple elements that came together for a cheerful morning image.
