I’ve talked about visiting and eating a McDonald’s in France. Yes, I’m sure this turns the stomach of foodies, but there you go. I continue to feature them because I notice how much nicer they are than in the United States. Just look at this place. It would be perfectly pleasant if you didn’t know it was a McDonald’s.
So, I blog about this place for the interior design rather than the food.
The completely tasteful and understated exterior, as seen directly across the street from the train station, fits beautifully into the local environment. Somehow, despite its low-key facade, we found it without the bright red and yellow corporate colors. We stopped for a quick bite before a long day of tourist activities.
This is the main walkway through the restaurant. There are intimate pods of seating on either side.
As expected, like the McDonald’s on the Champs-Élysées, they had macarons. We opted for something less sweet for our breakfast — delicious croissants. You have to figure that McDonald’s must be decent to compete in a land with tasty food. So, how bad could it be?
