Step on the other side of the golden gate I showed you yesterday, and you will enter the vast complex of the Palace of Versailles. I conveniently called this the palace entry, and it is, but it is one of many. The palace is so vast that it’s hard to photograph in its entirety.
We entered the complex through a building to the left of the golden gate, though it was confusing to see multiple lines of people. After making it through the first building, we entered the courtyard, and this was the building I saw in the center.
From this vantage point, the structure seems nice enough. What you don’t see is a similar facade that wraps around you on three sides. The Palace of Versailles is impressive for its size, but there doesn’t appear to be a single focal point that wows.
