We did some hiking. Climbing up the hill, we got a good overview of Mountain Village, the small city next to Telluride that is more like an extended suburb. However, they have a denser area with a collection of resorts, hotels, shopping, and restaurants.
I heard it snowed lightly a few days before our visit in late October, and we see some remnants of that snow in this picture. However, this resort and ski area were between seasons when we were there.
I’m sure a month or so later, these slopes would be full of snow and skiers. It’s a picturesque scene that should look even more remarkable during the winter when they are covered in white.
