As Close as I get to Macro

Grass Closeup - Mountain Village, Colorado

Grass Closeup – Mountain Village, Colorado

I’ve been mentioning recently how I don’t often do landscape photography. However, macros are something that I shoot even less. I don’t think I ever owned a macro lens, though I’ve used others to get close. Today’s photograph is definitely not a macro. However, I have captured the grass detail with a telephoto at an 82.5mm equivalent.

I figured this is as close as I get to macro unless I change my photography significantly. For now, I’m not very interested in the typical macro subjects such as insects and flowers. Though I did some stuff up close for camera design details.

None of my pictures from my Colorado look like this, so this is a one-off. Though I think it looks pleasing as a landscape. Even though the background is way out of focus, you clearly can see what it’s all about.
