With the coverage of the Colorado trip completed, I’m moving on to a new location. I was rummaging around in my 2021 Capture One library and found a trip to San Antonio that I haven’t covered. I go to San Antonio often since both of my sons currently live there, but this series is a little different, focusing on downtown.

We usually stay in a modest hotel near the San Antonio airport since it’s also convenient to Trinity University, where my sons have attended. Once in a while, however, we splurge and spend some time downtown near the famous River Walk. I got up earlier than usual and walked around snapping pictures at around 8 a.m. It was peaceful before the throngs of tourists descended.

I used the Fujifilm GFX 50R to make highly detailed black-and-white images. Shooting at f11, I created a notable sunburst on the right side near the tree.
