Stop Stop, Ward Village – Honolulu, Hawaii

While I featured the outer construction-filled edge of Ward Village yesterday, this image shows us the heart of the development. Two of the four towers are already completed. Notice how different the two look. In fact, all the high-rise towers in Ward Village have unique designs.

While the urban designers did their best to beautify the wall on the right, it’s clearly a blank wall punctuated by garage openings for cars and delivery vans—not a very people-friendly environment despite the adequate sidewalk.

On the fisheye front, a square crop worked best, highlighting the distortion, architecture, and the bold STOP STOP street markings.
