I shot the outside of the buildings in Taylor up to this point. However, other than the restaurant where I ate dinner, this was the only building I entered. And what a unique place it was. While it might look like an ordinary high school — an old one, that’s, no longer in use— it’s actually a shopping mall. The old Taylor High School was transformed into one of the most unique shopping destinations I’ve visited.

Here’s the view of the main hall on the first floor.

The view of the second-floor hall doesn’t look very different, other than the carpeted floor.

The main entrance was rather nondescript, especially at night. It lacked outdoor lighting that would have created a more dramatic front entrance. There was a lit patio area in the back that made it look more lively and nicely highlighted the bricks.

I didn’t visit all the business establishments, but here are two examples. The classrooms of the high school building are where the stores are located. The first one is a restaurant.

The most visually interesting establishment was the pinball lounge. I made sure to underexpose the pinball machines so that they don’t blow out any of the lights, resulting in this colorful glow.
