In the third and last building I captured on the walk to dinner, I present to you CapitaSpring, my favorite. Completed in 2021, it’s the second-tallest tower in Singapore. However, interestingly, three towers are tied for 2nd tallest. They are all 280 meters or 920 feet tall, including the One Raffles Place tower I mentioned yesterday.
Researching this odd height similarity, I discovered that there was a 280-meter height limit until recently, which was raised to 290 meters. The geography and proximity to an airbase set these restrictions.
The oddly named CapitaSpring originates from CapitaLand, the owner, and its green and biophilic design. The development features two lush gardens on the middle and top floors, as well as extensive landscaping. Combined with the slender and curved supports, this creates a mesmerizing design.
