I went to the bathroom, located at the rear of the building, on the other side from where the bar was. I noticed an odd-looking building that was worth a snap.
Do I always bring a camera when I visit the bathroom? Frequently, yes. Though it’s often stowed away in my bag. Most people don’t appreciate cameras in bathrooms, even if they are not used.
I processed this image to be extra blue and moody, giving it a retro-futuristic vibe. I was trying to be creative with the framing, only showing part of the circular flying saucer building.
I’ve included the entire structure, so you can see it in this conventional framing. The building is called the OUE Tower, built in 1975. It’s from old Singapore before it became a financial powerhouse. Currently, it’s a high-end revolving Chinese restaurant.
Incidentally, I didn’t know the name of the building, so I put a description of it on Google, which utterly got the wrong answer with their AI and search. ChatGPT performed significantly better at identifying the building and confirming with pictures. I’m using ChatGPT more and more for my blog post research. Google is falling behind.
