I photographed this skyline to the south from about the same place I took the picture of the Marina Bay Sands, which I featured yesterday. As you can see, it’s a nicely executed bayfront with lots of nightlife and restaurants nearby.
Like yesterday, I shot the Fujifilm GFX 50S II on a tripod using the Fuji 35-70mm zoom. I’m using the widest setting, which is at a 28mm full-frame equivalent.
While it may be hard for you to see, the Fullerton Bay Hotel is in the middle, where I shot a series of pictures from the rooftop. You can see the resemblance of the skyline to this picture from the hotel. We see more of a context from this location.
I walked further north along the bay and shot this picture. This would typically be an iconic photo of Singapore, except the famous Merlion statue is hidden behind the scaffolding. While not the official national emblem, the Merlion, half lion and half fish, is the de facto symbol of Singapore. Here’s a Merlion picture I shot back in 2020.
