Downtown Leading Lines – Singapore

I’m back to using the Sony A7C instead of the Fujifilm GFX 50S II. While the Fuji creates a marginally better quality image, I had some other challenges. It was windy that night, and I noticed that the smaller camera and the slightly shorter exposure time created sharper images. Since the depth of field is shallower with medium format, I had to use a smaller aperture and a longer shutter speed.

I was still in the same area, exploring how to create images with leading lines, and I have three examples for you. And, in my book, a leading line can also be curved. You want an element to draw the viewer’s eye deeper into the frame and to the main subject.

The Singapore skyline, with its unique architecture, was distinct enough that small shifts in perspective yielded sufficiently different pictures.
