One of the participants shared treats as we had our photowalk through Old Havana. Nothing fancy —just a couple pieces of candy —but oh, what smiles it generated.
As you might have guessed, I went to Cuba to experience a very different place and to photograph. The architecture, the cars, the people, and the entire environment are very unlike those of home and other countries I’ve visited. However, getting to know people and sharing was a remarkable experience.
Street photography was fun too, because most didn’t care and went about their business. I feel like I captured a genuine slice of life, except for maybe this scene when a foreigner was passing out free candy.
