I have one more film-ish photo to round up this three-post mini-series of textured and faux-film pictures. I have a close-up of the Floridita sign against a baroque, old-world facade.
El Floridita is best known for its daiquiris, a cocktail made with rum, lime, and sugar. I’ll talk more about the place in subsequent posts.
The restaurant is also known as a hangout of Ernest Hemingway, who arrived in Havana in the early 1930s. You can see part of his signature on the white sign. Given the establishment’s history and Hemingway’s visit, I thought it appropriate to apply a 1930s-style Kodachrome effect.
