Our third model of the day was Claudia. You might have seen her in the styling behind-the-scenes post. Unlike Kamy and Daniela, the two models from Cuba, Claudia travelled with us from the United States. She lives in San Antonio, but we first met her in Tampa.

Not only is she a lovely model, but she also speaks fluent Spanish and, of course, English, so she was indispensable as a translator.

While I did dabble with LED lighting on this first day, all of the portraits I’ve shown are with available lighting, including the three of Claudia. I used the same camera and lens setup for all portraits, the Sony A7C II with the Sony 24-70mm f2.8 II GM lens. It was a quality setup and produced excellent results. Of course, these pictures have been post-processed in Capture One, which brought the images to life.
