Unlike yesterday’s find, I wasn’t the first to see this unique basketball court. I was documenting the city with three others, and one of them started taking pictures here. I was outside the court, marveling at a building that I’ll show you in an upcoming post.
I made a picture of my group mate photographing this scene, but I opted to show you the court without anyone in frame. A pure architectural exercise in photographing pastel-colored boxes that come together wonderfully.
These colors harmonize so well, I wonder if they were done on purpose. Or are Cubans naturally color-coordinated? The buildings across the street aren’t part of the court but integral to the scene. Did someone paint the walls blue to beautifully contrast with the surroundings?
