Shin-Yokohama means New Yokohama. It was a new train station built in 1964, away from the Yokohama city center, in a rural part of town. Built exclusively for the famous bullet train, there was some intrigue and wrong doing in the appropriation of the land, according to Wikipedia.
Photographically, I was attracted to the glow of the station, with the reflection off the damp pavement. While my setting in the Pentax Q7 already creates a very dark and contrasty black and white, I underexposed for added mystery. Part of the Deep Blacks collection.
