I’m wrapping up this mini-series by looking west from the Congress Avenue bridge. In the past two posts, I showed views directly north and east. No views to the south, however. There’s isn’t much to see development-wise. That can change. Ambitious plans, sometime in the future, envision tall skyscrapers on both sides of Lady Bird Lake.
Today’s view looks somewhat similar to this recent post. Except we see the river (aka. Lady Bird Lake) instead of the park. I’ve just shifted my vantage point south on the bridge.
I’m really liking this 28mm equivalent view. Wide but not too wide. In the past, I used extreme wide-angles, which can look dramatic but also gimmicky. The 28mm focal length is similar to what many smartphones use. Though more recent ones have gone wider to a 26mm equivalent.
