Downtown and Bay

Downtown and Bay - Singapore

Downtown and Bay – Singapore

After I reached the bay, I was incorporating it along with the skyline. This is another urban landscape that I made on a tripod at 5 seconds using the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. My other Olympus, the PEN-F, had the 9-18mm attached, but I opted for just a moderate wide-angle at a 28mm equivalent.

As a bonus, I caught a nice motion blur of a bumboat style water taxi, which I featured yesterday. It effectively filled a dark area of the frame with some visual interest. Of course, I also used the silver railing to create a leading line towards my primary subject.

While I made a variety of cityscapes, I was here to create a particular photograph that I had in mind. I’ll blog about that in a few days, as I do a slow lead up to it. In the meantime, you get to enjoy the awesome Singapore architecture.
