Epic Man-made Landscape, Disney California Adventure – Anaheim, California

This rather dramatic landscape is part of Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure. Yesterday, I was in Radiator Springs, today I’m in the simulated Arizona countryside.

Like many things Disney, this is a fake landscape, with perspective tricks to make it look larger than real life. I’m all for this. That’s what Disney does best, creating make-believe worlds.

I’m a fan of the movie Cars. And I relished the opportunity to walk through a real-life manifestation of a computer-rendered world. Also, Cars Land has one of my favorite rides, Radiator Spring Racers, which combines the right amount of details, fantasy, and excitement. But that’s a topic for tomorrow’s post.
