I had to break out Google Translate to make sure I got this right. My Spanish isn’t stellar, even when I was learning it back in high school. Though Fun for all the family seems like a literal translation. Perhaps Fun for the whole family might be more in the spirit of the message?
I don’t know if any movie studios had more critical and economic success than Pixar. It’s astounding how good their movies are, with only a few relatively weaker ones.
The artwork is from Coco, released in 2017. It’s one of my favorites. It’s such a powerful movie with a positive portrayal of Mexican culture and their Day of the Dead celebration. Of course, Texas is physically and culturally close to Mexico. I’ve had the opportunity to attend the local Dia de los Muertos parade for many years. I’m surprised that I now have 27 blog posts on the topic.
