The Arc de Triomphe was fabulous, as well as the French sweets at a (discount) cafe on the Champs Élysées, but I get the feeling that my wife was most interested in the luxury boutiques at this world-famous shopping district.
Mercifully, my wife wasn’t interested in Louis Vuitton, the well-known brand that started from suitcases and branched into all manner of luxury goods. Here’s the scene at the flagship store on the Champs Élysées. I heard it was an hour’s wait to get in.
In fact, old Louis seemed to be doing a bang-up business compared to the other luxury retailers. Every store we passed, including the ones in department stores, sported long lines.

I think the line was shorter at LV down avenue Montaigne.
Something to keep in mind for a future visit. Thanks.
