As I recall, the Galeries Lafayette complex at Boulevard Haussmann consists of three buildings. The most impressive structure was the one I featured yesterday, with the giant atrium and magnificent dome. We went to a second building across the street and timed the visit perfectly during blue hour, complete with a glowing facade.
This second location specialized in gourmet foods as part of an over-the-top — in a good way — combination of supermarket and food hall. Rather than eating at a restaurant, we picked up a take-out meal. It was an idea my wife learned from YouTube travel influencers.
The various food shops inside deserve their post tomorrow, but I was pleased that I captured a glowing ornate building during the best time of day. I shot at a slow 1/8 second, producing a high-quality base ISO 200 photo. I also had an image with a motion-blurred car passing through. However, I preferred this visually cleaner version.
