Luxor Lobby – Las Vegas, Nevada

Behold the lobby of the wacky Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas — the building that looks like a pyramid with an obvious Egyptian theme. I read that in a renovation years after the opening, the Egyptian theme was deemphasized, and the hotel’s appearance was upgraded. Still, as you can see, we have some Pharaohs standing guard.

For our first get-together after our high school reunion, our group decided on an extended weekend in Las Vegas. Since it was a bunch of guys, we did not need luxurious accommodations. The Luxor is on the price-conscious end of the hotels available on the strip.

I visited this lobby once a long time ago. However, I was curious about the rest of the hotel and their accommodations. The Luxor Lobby was sufficiently kitschy not to disappoint.
