Yesterday, I showed you the atrium of the Luxor, where you can see the interior sloping walls of the pyramid. But I was most curious about the hotel room. How does it differ from a regular hotel room? Well, here it is. Do you notice a difference?
The only noticeable difference was the wall facing the outside. As you can see from these close-ups, the wall is tilted and at a steeper angle than I first imagined.
It was hard to see out the heavily tinted windows (day or night), and I didn’t have much of a view.
The reverse view away from the windows looks like a regular hotel room.
We got some inexpensive rates, especially on Thursday and Sunday — Saturday night was the most expensive. Given how cheap the prices were — as low as $15, not including the resort fee — I didn’t expect much. Since it was just us guys hanging out, we didn’t need much, and it wasn’t like we required posh accommodations for our wives.
All considered, the rooms were quite good and way above my expectations. My room rate over the four nights averaged $100, which seems remarkably low for a convenient and safe spot on the Las Vegas Strip.
