After seeing the colorful Eiffel Tower from the Bellagio, I made the longer-than-expected walk down the curved driveway to the street. I figured I’d shoot the faux Eiffel Tower from the other side of Las Vegas Blvd.
The Eiffel Tower has a restaurant and an observation deck and is a giant beacon of interest on the Las Vegas Strip. The ornate building to the right houses the casino, and the tall yellow building in the rear is the hotel — together, they form the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino complex.
I shot the Las Vegas strip with the Fujifilm 16mm f2.8, which gives a 24mm equivalent view. While this second picture looks like I zoomed in, I shot it from the middle of Las Vegas Blvd as I crossed.
I’ve perspective-corrected both pictures somewhat, but not all the way. Too much manipulation, and the structures didn’t look right. I took a balanced approach, keeping the scene as realistic as possible.
