Buffet at the Palms

Buffet, Palms Casino Resort – Las Vegas, Nevada

We walked longer than expected from the Las Vegas Strip to the Palms Casino Resort for their well-regarded buffet. I rarely eat at buffets, but it is the Vegas thing to do. The attraction for my friends was the all-you-can-eat crab legs. I didn’t care much for crab, but I went to be with my friends and to take pictures, of course.

We arrived before it opened and waited for around 15 minutes or so before entering the restaurant.

It was still empty when we arrived as one of the first groups. The large restaurant filled up, however, looking attractive. The food quality was solid, breaking no new ground, but it was expensive for the price if you didn’t factor in the crab legs.

There are different stations throughout with a good variety. Most stations were also piled high with crab legs, making them easily accessible.

I won’t bore you with all my food snaps, but here are two. I had an odd assortment of brisket, sausage, and sushi. Plate two consisted of Asian dumplings, pizza, calzone, salmon, and noodles. I also had a small plate of shrimp and crab legs.

The buffet wasn’t just meat and junk food; it had a good selection of salads and vegetables, which I only ate sparingly.

I wouldn’t have gone without my friends, but it was a good experience overall, and it definitely felt like the Vegas thing to do. I rarely eat breakfast anymore and usually take lunch around 2 pm. I didn’t eat at all that day until 4 pm for this buffet and skipped dinner. So, my total calorie intake probably wasn’t too bad.
