It was fun to go retro Disney, especially to fill the time between our main Fastpass rides. Plus, Orlando was unexpectedly warm, in the low 80s in December, and a little air conditioning and some rest never hurt. We ducked into the Country Bear Jamboree because there was no line and a minimal wait, which sounded good, compared to all the other packed attractions.
A little Wikipedia research revealed that this was a very popular show back in the 70s and 80s. I remember seeing it as a kid, some 40 years ago — hard to believe. It was fun, at least in a nostalgic sense. In 2016, The bears look a bit creepy, though not in a scary way.
I used my Olympus 45mm f1.8 lens, which worked particularly well for these shows. It was my go to lens for dark venues. The faster aperture allowed me to increase the shutter speed to properly capture these animatronic marvels. At a 90mm equivalent, it zoomed into the action. It’s a good change of pace, since I normally don’t use this lens, very often.
