We are jumping back to Paris from September 2022, continuing where I left off in October 29 of last year. I covered days one and two in Paris in part one of the European Trip series. On day three, we headed to Switzerland for several days.
I walked across the street to Gare de Lyon in the morning. I had reserved and paid for the trip online from the United States but didn’t have the tickets and needed to have them physically printed. I came extra early in case the process took longer than expected, but it was quickly done through a machine.
While photographing the interior of the train station, I noticed the beauty of the Frecciarossa, a superfast train from Italy. It had a familiar TGV-like design but was painted in stylish Red and Gray. The modern train was a wonderful counterpoint to the historic train station from the mid-19th Century.
