It was morning on the second day in Zermatt. When we woke up, the view was cloudy as the afternoon before. Things were not looking good.
We went to breakfast, a great one included in the hotel’s price. Then, the clouds started to break up. Our signature mountain, the one we came all the way to Switzerland to see, started to peer through. It wasn’t fully visible, but it was more promising than ever.
Encouraged, we headed to the train station in the center of town, where video feeds showed the conditions at the top of the mountain.
